Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join the internal finance function at RSM on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving forward the management accounts function of the firm, responsible for the development of junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • To manage, coach, and develop junior colleagues within the team, supporting their professional development and contributing to the wider culture of the team.
  • To play a lead role in managing risk, ensuring the team's output, including balance sheet reconciliations, is compliant with both regulatory and internal standards.
  • To apply business understanding to ensure accurate and complete accounting records are maintained and meaningful management information is produced.
  • To be solution-focused, empowered to challenge existing processes, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and accurate.
  • To undertake specific related projects as agreed.
  • To develop a thorough understanding of the firm's internal finance reporting systems and methodologies.
  • To promote collaboration with other parts of the firm, ensuring best practice is adopted.
Requirements
  • ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified.
  • IT proficient with strong MS Excel skills.
  • A credible individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and able to show initiative.
