Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Residential Support Worker to join our team in Halifax/Doncaster. As a Deaf Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support and care to residents who are deaf or hard of hearing. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and practical support to residents who are deaf or hard of hearing">
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individual care plans">
  • Facilitate social activities and outings to enhance the quality of life for residents">
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care and meal preparation">
  • Communicate effectively with residents using British Sign Language (BSL)">
  • Maintain accurate records of resident's progress and well-being">

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of British Sign Language (BSL) and be willing to learn and develop your skills further. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A driving license is also essential.
