Job Title: Year 6 Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to a group of enthusiastic and motivated students. You will also be expected to promote teamwork, cultivate a conducive learning environment, and provide pastoral care to our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to a group of students, focusing on individual learning targets and encouraging strengths and improvement of weaknesses.
  • Develop maths ability by introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help students develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keep track of students' progress and report back to parents as necessary.

Our school is a 2-form entry school located in a lovely residential area. We pride ourselves on creating a friendly environment that welcomes early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms. Our school aspires to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through its supportive pastoral environment.

Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Ability to commute to Cambridge on a daily basis.
  • Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.
