The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology and experience of working with older adults, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will be responsible for providing specialist clinical psychology assessments, formulations, and interventions for older adults with complex mental health needs. This will include working with clients, their carers, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, as well as providing consultation and advice to other healthcare professionals. The post holder will also be responsible for supervising and supporting other psychologists and healthcare professionals, as well as contributing to the development of new services and initiatives.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality care to older adults. The post holder will have the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex mental health problems. The post holder will also have access to a range of training and development opportunities, including regular supervision and support from experienced colleagues.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, including a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). They will also have extensive experience of working with older adults, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The post holder will be able to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, and will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to older adults.
