Job Title: Director of Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Engineering to lead our Configuration Management team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing configuration management and release activities for our Dreadnought program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans to ensure accurate and efficient release of products to internal and external customers.
  • Lead a team of engineers in the design and maintenance of processes to implement configuration management and release activities.
  • Ensure configuration management activities are discharged in accordance with established plans and processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify configuration management and reporting requirements and ensure these requirements are captured in plans and processes.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the configuration management team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Interface with the platform configuration management team to ensure accurate maintenance of platform configurations.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in a technology, engineering, or science-related discipline.
  • Registered as CEng or demonstrate eligibility and commitment to register for CEng within 12 months of appointment.
  • Member of a Professional Engineering Institute recognized by the Engineering Council.
  • CM2 certified.
  • Experience of configuration and release management in a regulated industry.
