Job Introduction

Pentagon Motor Group is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Light Commercial Vehicle Sales Consultant to join their successful Derby Van Centre.

The ideal candidate will have a retail sales background with experience of achieving targets, a genuine passion for people, and a commitment to providing an outstanding customer buying experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the time to build genuine rapport with customers to identify their needs and turn opportunities into business.
  • Meet sales volume targets and maximise profit opportunities with each sale.
  • Exceed customer satisfaction and promote long-term profitability for the dealership and group.
  • Telephone prospect new and existing customers to secure orders and have full involvement in all processes up to and following delivery.
  • Effectively promote and sell additional items such as GAP, paint protection, service plans, and warranties.
  • Stay up-to-date with current finance options regulations and legislation to provide customers with all available options.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a target-driven retail sales background, ideally within an automotive setting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong and effective communication and persuasion skills, alongside telephone prospecting experience.
  • Motivation and drive, with the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • The ability to deliver a first-class customer buying experience and maximise every profit opportunity.
  • An enthusiasm and passion for exceeding targets.
  • An organised and methodical approach to work.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
  • A full, UK driving licence.
