Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

The Senior Public Affairs Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring YMCA's influence with key decision-makers through effective campaigns and policy positions. This position will support the Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager in developing and implementing a range of public affairs activities to engage and build relationships with Government, Parliament, Civil Servants, and relevant organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide public affairs advice and support to the YMCA Federation
  • Develop and implement public affairs strategies to engage key stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with Government, Parliament, and Civil Servants
  • Support the safeguarding, health and well-being, and safety of staff, volunteers, and supporters

Requirements:

  • Experience in public affairs or a related field
  • Strong understanding of Government, Parliament, and Civil Servant structures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment
