We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Physiologist to join our Cardio-Respiratory Unit at the Royal Hospital. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiology and experience in pacing procedures.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will assist in the running of all present services provided by the cardio-respiratory unit, working closely with the Lead Cardiac Physiologists. They will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, efficient service to patients and supervising, guiding, and supporting staff in their roles.
The post holder will work as an independent practitioner in permanent pacemaker follow-up and implants, analyzing and interpreting complex clinical data and reporting findings to medical staff as required.
They will also assist in the clinical management of patients undergoing cardiac investigations and participate in the training and appraisal of junior staff.

Requirements- Substantial post-qualification experience in cardiology, including ECGs and ambulatory ECG analysis
- Experience in training staff in all grades
- Wide range of cardiology knowledge, including pacing procedures
- ILS trained and RCCP/AHCS registration or equivalent
- BHRS accreditation
The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be required to participate in the training and appraisal of junior staff.
