General Manager Assistant

Job Summary:
The Assistant General Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our restaurant operations. Reporting to the General Manager, this individual will be responsible for creating a culture of excellence, ensuring seamless execution of standards, and delivering outstanding food and beverage quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Restaurant Culture and Operations: Create and enhance a restaurant culture that drives excellence in every aspect of hospitality success, including top-line revenues, excellent service standards, high-quality products, dynamic culture, strong morale, and superior profit management.
- Performance Standards and Accountability: Establish, direct, and review performance standards in the kitchen to ensure effective, controlled, and coordinated results, providing every guest with a consistent wow experience.
- Leadership and Development: Work with the General Manager to support the recruitment, training, development, and mentoring of current leadership teams, ensuring a strong foundation for future success.
- Beverage Concepts and Service: Establish, direct, and review beverage concepts to ensure adequate accountability, quality, presentation, and service performance, meeting the highest standards of excellence.
- Guest Relations and Feedback: Handle or assist with guest-related complaints and comments, ensuring prompt and effective follow-up to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Financial and Operational Reporting: Assist with weekly financial and operational reporting, providing insights and analysis to drive business success.
- Training and Development: Evaluate training procedures to ensure all employees contribute to a high level of guest experience, and develop and maintain positive relationships with the team, community, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of operational success, with proven multiple-year success as a restaurant manager, knowledge of operational systems, including kitchen, food development, and financial management.
- Excellent knowledge and high-level skills with computer desktop systems, including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and POS systems.
- Knowledge of the premium casual dining market in the community.
- A college or university business degree in hospitality, restaurants, and culinary arts, or equivalent business education background.
