Mechanical Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our Quality team in Northamptonshire. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of internally and externally manufactured metallic components meet the required standard.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough inspections of components to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Attend and participate in meetings to discuss quality-related issues and implement improvements.
- Work collaboratively with the team to maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard.
- Stay up-to-date with machine manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.
- Perform other duties as reasonably requested aligned to your job role.
- Excellent working knowledge of machining processes.
- Thorough understanding of PcDmis and Polyworks Metrology Suites.
- Good working knowledge of Co-Ordinate Measuring Machines, Absolute arms, Shadowgraphs, Contour Tracers, and handheld measuring equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Good working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as IFS, SAP or similar.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Previous experience as Mechanical Inspector or similar in a Formula One environment / high level Motorsport environment would be advantageous.
- Ability to work calmly and confidently under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.
- Flexible attitude towards working hours.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Results-oriented and confident in your decision-making skills.
- Enthusiastic and versatile, with a willingness to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
- Clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety.
