Job Title: Adjunct Faculty in Accounting

Job Summary:

We are seeking part-time Adjunct teaching faculty to teach introductory courses in Accounting at Old Dominion University. The successful candidate will have recent professional experience in Accounting and be able to teach face-to-face or online.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Principles of Financial Accounting and Principles of Managerial Accounting courses
  • Meet all designated course instruction deadlines
  • Assign and grade course exams and other materials
  • Respond to students in a timely manner
  • Submit grades according to University guidelines

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of recent professional experience in Accounting
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred
  • Prior teaching experience preferred
  • Ability to teach face-to-face during regular daytime business hours
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Data Analytics
