Cloud Architect Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our team at IRIS Software Group. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing our cloud-based applications and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions that align with our company's cloud architectural vision
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to evolve the architectural backlog
  • Work with Development Managers to build roadmaps for delivering cloud solutions in an agile manner
  • Ensure that technical improvements are prioritized appropriately with Product Owners
  • Gather architecturally significant requirements for major projects
  • Design and document architectural solutions
  • Implement and govern an architecture framework
  • Code proof of concepts and core application areas

Requirements:

  • Multiple years of developing and architecting in cloud
  • Experience of designing full-stack architectures (multi-tier, so UI/UX, middle tier and persistence tier)
  • An API-first approach
  • Deep understanding of REST APIs
  • Understanding of different software design patterns e.g Multi-tier, Micro service, Event driven

Desirable:

  • Extensive experience of cloud SaaS platforms
  • Strong foundations in security considerations
