Bus Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bus Mechanic to join our team at First Bus. As a Bus Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure our fleet is running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair vehicle faults, including engine, gearbox, and hydraulic system issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as servicing and inspections
- Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
- Carry out vehicle road testing to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
- A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Experience working with buses and coaches, preferably with a PCV licence
- Basic electrical understanding and knowledge of workshop equipment
