Key Responsibilities
  • Department Leadership: Oversee the Corporate & Commercial Law department, setting strategic goals and ensuring alignment with the firm's objectives.
  • Expert Legal Advice: Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, contracts, and compliance.
  • Business Development: Drive business development activities, identifying new opportunities and promoting the firm's services.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise a dynamic team, including a newly qualified solicitor and secretarial support.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Partners of the department.
  • Case Management: Utilise up-to-date case management systems to ensure an efficient and cost-effective service for clients.
  • Work-Life Balance: Combine home and office working to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor with 6+ years PQE.
  • Experience: Previous experience handling Corporate & Commercial Law matters.
  • Skills: Strong experience in autonomously managing files, coupled with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Management Experience: Previous supervision/management experience is essential.
  • Personal Qualities: Dynamic, detail-oriented, and ambitious for career progression.
