Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Hoare Lea, a leading engineering consultancy with a creative team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists. As a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering coordinated, collaborative, innovative, and technically excellent design solutions that respond to our clients' brief and vision.
Key Responsibilities- Designing mechanical engineering systems at the highest level using the latest software design packages.
- Leading mechanical services design on large projects and taking overall lead on small to medium-sized projects within the office.
- Developing initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards.
- Engaging with junior support staff in their day-to-day activities and offering advice and guidance to ensure they develop their skills.
- Monitoring fee expenditure, resources, and work delivered, and identifying new ways of working and taking time out for innovation and research.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Building Services Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment, with excellent communication skills with both internal and external clients, and a team-based work approach.
