Environmental Researcher Position

We are seeking an exceptional academic to join our team in the Department of Life Sciences at Brunel University London.

The successful candidate will contribute to our undergraduate, postgraduate, and research curriculum in environmental sciences, environmental management, environmental monitoring, sustainable development, and planetary health.

The role also involves making a substantial research contribution to the department, with opportunities to collaborate with our world-leading chemical pollution research group.

We encourage applications from candidates with interests in climate change and pollution mobilisation, interactions between pollution and aquatic ecology, environmental biology, planetary boundaries for pollution (including combined exposures), environmental economics, and environmental management strategies for the mitigation of recognised threats.

A PhD in a relevant area, experience in higher education, and an emerging or established research profile with publications suitable for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework exercise are required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and research curriculum in environmental sciences

  • Develop and maintain an emerging or established research profile with publications suitable for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework exercise
