Location: Cambridge (Hybrid working 3 days in the office / 2 days remote)

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Technical Writer / Author to join our team at RedTech Recruitment Ltd. As a Technical Writer / Author, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation that meets the needs of our clients and their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and proofread technical documentation, including user guides, how-to guides, and other supporting materials.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of our products and services and translate that knowledge into user-friendly information.
  • Test content understanding with users to ensure that it meets their needs.
  • Create content that is relevant to end-users and meets their expectations.

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience in a technical writing role or a Ph.D. where you have enjoyed the writing aspect.
  • A 2:1 or 1st class degree from a leading university, particularly in fields involving significant writing content, such as English, Languages, or Translation.
  • Minimum of ABB at A Level (or equivalent UCAS points).
  • Excellent written capabilities and the ability to articulate complex concepts in a concise, yet simple manner.
  • Technical literacy or an understanding of software engineering practices would be beneficial.
  • Enthusiasm and a desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
