Supporting Early Years Education in a Thriving Primary School

We are working with a highly regarded 2 form-entry Primary School in Wigan that requires an EYFS Teaching Assistant for additional support. This role involves working closely with the class teacher to support children within the class.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing general classroom support to ensure a smooth learning environment
  • Delivering small group intervention sessions to cater to individual needs
  • Working in the outdoor provision area, completing baseline assessments and learning journeys to track progress

The EYFS unit is well-equipped, featuring a state-of-the-art outdoor provision area. The class teacher is highly experienced, having been in post for over 10 years, and there will also be another full-time TA with extensive experience in early years.

What We're Looking For:
  • Recent experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Desirable experience delivering Read Write Inc. or Letters & Sounds Phonics
  • Applicants must hold at least a Level 2 qualification

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a well-established, high-performing Wigan Primary School. The position is confirmed for at least 9 months, potentially extending to 12. This school has previously used Teaching Personnel to recruit permanent staff.
