Senior Sound Designer

We are a pioneering company in the gaming industry, and we're looking for a highly skilled Senior Sound Designer to join our team at Foundry 42 Ltd. in the UK. As a key member of our audio team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing immersive audio experiences for our flagship games, Star Citizen and Squadron 42.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement high-quality audio assets, including sound effects, music, and voiceovers, to enhance the gaming experience.
  • Collaborate with game designers and developers to ensure seamless integration of audio elements into the game.
  • Develop and maintain audio tools and systems to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the audio programming team to ensure smooth implementation of audio features.
  • Contribute to the development of audio design approaches and strategies to elevate the overall gaming experience.
  • Manage and coordinate SFX recording sessions to capture high-quality audio assets.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest audio technologies and industry trends to ensure our games remain at the forefront of immersive audio experiences.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in game audio design and implementation, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Expertise in audio tools such as Reaper, Pro Tools, Soundforge, and Izotope RX.
  • Working knowledge of audio middleware and/or proprietary tech.
  • Experience with game engines, such as Wwise.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
