Campden BRI's Sensory Testing Services are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support the Sensory Project Manager and the wider descriptive panel with projects and training. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of sensory testing projects, including panel facilitation, training sessions, and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Sensory Project Manager with the coordination of sensory testing projects, including panel facilitation and training sessions.
- Assist with the preparation of samples for assessment by the panel, ensuring good food hygiene practices are followed.
- Coordinate the receipt and organization of samples, including purchase, storage, and preparation for panel training and reference samples.
- Support the panel leader with the compilation of technical reports, including data analysis.
- Assist with other Sensory Insights teams and projects as required.
- Degree in Food Science or Technology, or previous experience in a sensory science role or laboratory environment.
- Completion of the 'One Day Introduction to Sensory Analysis' course and '4 Day Sensory Evaluation Workshop' or equivalents.
- Broad knowledge of multiple food categories.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Competitive salary range of £25,000-£30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
