Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer Job Description:

Marshall is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing and repair of tail lift, double deck, VBG, Shutter door equipment used on large distribution vehicles.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to join our engineering department and contribute to the maintenance and repair of equipment used on large distribution vehicles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Tail lift/ Commercial Engineer, with commercial experience on electro-mechanical systems including engines, compressors and hydraulics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tail lift, double deck, VBG, Shutter door equipment
  • Optimise and maintain engineer van stock to ensure efficient service delivery to MFS customers
  • Conduct regular safety checks on the company van to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Liaise with central control and/or the service centre to coordinate job schedules, downtime and overtime authorisation
  • Assist with planning and undertaking installations and commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies, including Health & safety procedures and ISO9002 standards
  • Supervise Apprentices and / or Engineers in Training (EIT) where applicable
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers and other MFS personnel as needed

Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English Language
  • Welding certification
  • Clean driving licence
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office), able to use a palmtop computer (with training)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and relationship-building skills

Salary and Benefits:

  • Estimated salary: £52,000 - £62,000 per annum
