Job Description

Citi, a leading global bank, is seeking an experienced EMEA Head of Credit and Risk Portfolio Manager to join our team.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in credit risk management and portfolio optimization. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively managing Citi's credit exposures in Europe, UK, and Middle East and Africa (MEA) clusters.

The role requires a deep understanding of derivatives, capital markets, and transaction banking products, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to decompose complex transactions into core risks and provide sound credit judgment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Citi's exposure to Financial Institutions based and/or operating in the Europe, UK, and MEA clusters.
  • Actively engage with business heads to formulate risk appetite, set portfolio guidelines, and execute the business strategy.
  • Ensure that risk/return of the portfolio is well-balanced.
  • Deliver the global Counterparty Credit Risk strategy in the Europe, UK, and MEA clusters.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for representing Europe, UK, and MEA clusters on applicable governance committees and forums, providing senior risk approvals at SCO 1 level, and managing a team and matrix reports.

Requirements
  • Demonstrable financial institutions credit or related experience.
  • A deep knowledge of derivatives, capital market, and transaction banking products, ISDA/other trading agreements, and loan agreements.
  • University degree - graduate degree in Business, Finance, or Economics or equivalent.
  • Business convention, culture, language familiarity with one or more of the coverage countries/markets.
Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum
