Senior Language Consultant

We are currently recruiting for freelance interpreters to join our team at Language Empire. As a leading provider of interpreting and translation services across the UK, we offer flexible working arrangements that allow you to balance your work with your personal life.

About the Role:

• This is a self-employed position where you will be responsible for your own schedule and workload.
• You will interpret for individuals using various public services, including healthcare, local government, and legal services.
• Your role will involve listening to, understanding, and reproducing speech from one language to another with 100% accuracy.
• You will also check the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence and liaise between service users and providers.

Requirements:

• You must be fluent in English and another language, with formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages.
• You must have the right to work in the UK and be aged 21 or over.
