About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrub Nurse to join our dynamic team in Colchester. As a key member of our ophthalmology department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our clinical teams in the operating theatre.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing Scrub/ODP assistance and experience for clinical procedures.
  • Assisting the consultant and clinical team in the delivery of all ophthalmic care.
  • Managing all theatre equipment daily.
  • Admission and discharge of patients on theatre days.
  • Adhering to the principles of clinical governance and NMC or HCPC guidelines.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary up to £39,345 depending on ophthalmology experience.
  • Work-life balance shifts of 4-day a week starting 7.30am to 5.30pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays (overtime is available as and when required).
  • 33 days holidays (includes bank holidays) increasing with length of service.

Requirements:

  • NMC Qualified.
  • Experience as a Scrub Nurse in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Experience within the private healthcare sector (desirable).
  • Ophthalmology experience (desirable).
  • Cannulation experience (desirable).
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
