Compliance Manager

Integral UK is seeking a dedicated and proactive Compliance Manager to oversee and maintain a safe and compliant working environment across various sites within the portfolio. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and solid industry experience to support the requirements of the role. They will have excellent communication skills and the ability to implement effective compliance management systems. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards within the building services industry. They will conduct regular audits and inspections of our facilities, equipment, and operations to identify any compliance gaps or areas for improvement. The Compliance Manager will also support site teams in closing out compliance gaps and collaborate with cross-functional business support functions to ensure compliance protocols are understood and followed. They will maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes, best practices, and industry trends. The Compliance Manager will provide guidance and hands-on training to employees on compliance matters, including the proper handling of hazardous materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency response protocols, etc. They will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs, initiatives, and training activities, and make recommendations for enhancements or modifications as needed. The Compliance Manager will prepare and submit reports to the Account Director on compliance activities, incidents, and mitigation plans. They will develop and nurture relationships with internal/external auditors, regulators, and industry associations to stay informed of compliance requirements and ensure smooth regulatory interactions. The Compliance Manager will act as the point of contact for any compliance-related inquiries, investigations, or audits and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address and resolve any issues. They will be the key point of contact and subject matter expert for requirements relating to the Building Safety Act. The ideal candidate will have sound technical knowledge with a clear understanding of the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations, British Standards, and industry best practice (SFG20, CBM, etc.). They will have experience in a similar role with a minimum of 5 years' experience and membership of a professional body (e.g., CQI, IIRSM, IOSH, IET, etc.). The candidate will also have ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Lead Auditor Certified, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems Internal Auditor Certified, and a NEBOSH diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management. They will have a proven track record of successfully implementing and maintaining compliance management systems and be an expert in applicable legislation. The candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. They will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on risk assessment. The Compliance Manager will be able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure. They will be proficient with MS applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
