About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Pharmacy Assistant to join our developing medicines optimisation team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients and staff by providing high-quality clinical support and medicines optimisation services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver a high-quality medicines optimisation service across the BNSSG system.
  • Contribute to patient care by maintaining stock, ordering patient-specific medicines, and undertaking audits.
  • Work at Callington Road Hospital pharmacy dispensary, performing general pharmaceutical duties under the supervision of a Dispensary Manager and/or Pharmacist.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills to communicate with a wide range of people, including patients, carers, nursing and medical staff.
  • Able to work calmly under pressure and have capacity for problem solving.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office/Outlook.
