Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Preconstruction Agent to join our team at BAM Nuttall. As a key member of our preconstruction team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the preconstruction process for all scope of work within the Civil Framework at Hinkley Point C.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preconstruction Management: Manage and oversee the preconstruction process for all scope of work within the Civil Framework at HPC, including planning, estimating, design deliverables, quality documentation, and programme.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise and maintain a close work relationship with the client to identify new opportunities and develop all work areas from preconstruction stage to delivery stage.
  • Quality Assurance: Liaise with the quality department to ensure processes are in place for the preparation, review, and briefing of all quality documents and procedures associated with new work areas.
  • Design Coordination: Coordinate the design requirements for each work area with all parties involved, including the design manager, principal designer, temporary works department, and third-party suppliers/manufacturers.
  • Programme Management: Ensure realistic programmes are prepared, managed, monitored, and reviewed prior to handover to the delivery team.
  • Team Management: Manage, supervise, and mentor the project team as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience in Civil Construction Engineering at Sub Agent/Agent Level.
  • IT Skills: High level of IT skills, including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication Skills: High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Regulated Environment: Ability to work in highly regulated environments.
  • Digital Engineering: Good knowledge of digital engineering software, including Autocad, Civil 3D, and Naviswork.
