Infrastructure Design Specialist

AWE is currently seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join its Capital Engineering team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise and contribute to the successful operation of one of the area's largest employers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Building and applying extensive domain and technical knowledge for design intent, as-built-drawings, and performance through life for engineered structures
- Interpreting and delivering the requirements of issued tasks and projects from the Capital Engineering CS&A order book and making evidence-based professional engineering decisions to solve technical problems
- Identifying and escalating business risk arising from the condition of engineered systems and structures
Key qualifications include experience in building structural assessment, foundation design, potable water and drainage design, seismic assessment, structural analysis, highways design, quantity surveying, and construction site supervision. A minimum qualification of L4 NVQ (HNC) is also required.
AWE offers a competitive package, including a 9-day working fortnight, 208 hours of holiday per year, and a market-leading contributory pension scheme.
