Production Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Production Operative to join our manufacturing team in Llantrisant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment and machinery to meet production targets
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with equipment or production processes
  • Contribute to daily targets and quality control checks
  • Ensure the production area is kept clean and organized
  • Provide cover in other areas of production as required
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and report any potential safety issues

Person Specification:

  • Good team working skills and ability to work independently
  • Pro-active and able to take initiative
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with colleagues
  • Previous experience in production or manufacturing is desirable
  • FLT licence is not essential but would be beneficial

General Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and report any potential safety issues
  • Operate in accordance with Equal Opportunities legislation and Best Practice
