Job Summary:

The Manager - ITAM Software Engineering will be responsible for building the next generation ITAM applications to provide a world-class ITAM services experience. The ITAM SDM will be creating, refining and deploying a set of technologies (full-stack) leveraging cloud-based infrastructure and industry-standard software development methodologies. The SDM - ITAM accomplishes these tasks by leading a talented cross-functional tech team including software engineers and QA. The Development Teams output will lead to scalable, low latency, intelligent software that will have a massive impact for customers.

    • Set clear goals and objectives for each team member to enable projects to be delivered on schedule.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to encourage work productivity.
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ensure adherence to software development best practices and processes.
    • Represent the software development team in meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Participate in design control activities and ensure the completion of tasks and projects.
    • Write, review, and revise project requirements and specifications.
    • Understand client requirements and translate them into application features.
    • Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications.
    • Provide technical support to team members.
    • Maintain confidentiality with regards to sensitive information.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in direct people management of software engineers.
    • 5+ years of experience with building and managing highly scalable software platforms.
    • 5+ years of experience with Agile software development methodologies.
    • In-depth knowledge of software development tools and processes.
    • Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
    • Knowledge of SQL and relational database systems.
    • Good knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and software development frameworks.
    • Experience and knowledge of architecting software solutions.
    Required Skills:
    • IT Asset Management (ITAM) experience.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate complex technical information.
    • Ability to self-manage, take initiative, and be resourceful.
    • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
    • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Ability to multitask and complete tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
    • Independent learner.
    • Management/Leadership experience.
    Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
    • Cloud-based infrastructure experience.
    • Software development framework experience.
    • Agile software development methodology experience.
    • Version control system experience.
    • Continuous integration and deployment experience.
    • Coding experience (preferably in a cloud-based environment).
    Unique Requirements:
    • Position requires occasional travel to support remote teams.
    • Extended hours may be required to complete special projects.
    Additional Information:
    • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $160,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location, and therefore will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
