Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a prestigious luxury country house hotel in Leicestershire. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in the delivery of exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of junior chefs and kitchen staff
  • Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality control
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Contribute to the development of new recipes and menu ideas

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a similar role
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of food safety legislation and regulations
