Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy Team with a focus on Critical Care. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients in critical care, including post-surgical and complex rehabilitation cases.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess and treat patients in critical care, including post-surgical and complex rehabilitation cases.
  2. Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest treatments and technologies.
  3. Provide highly specialised assessment and treatment of oncology and haematology patients.
  4. Support the wider multidisciplinary team in specialist oncology OT treatments and assessments.
  5. Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  7. Contribute to the growth and development of the Occupational Therapy Team, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance patient care.

Requirements

  1. A degree in Occupational Therapy.
  2. A minimum of 2 years' experience managing caseloads in neuro rehabilitation and/or critical care.
  3. Experience in providing highly specialised assessment and treatment of oncology and haematology patients.
  4. Ability to support the wider multidisciplinary team in specialist oncology OT treatments and assessments.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
