About the Role

The Role


We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our Property and Support Services Department at NHS Lanarkshire.


As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the operational management of the Department within a designated area of NHSL.


Key responsibilities include providing operational leadership, staff management, and ensuring that Engineering, Building and Grounds maintenance is carried out to appropriate standards and specifications.


Additionally, you will have responsibility for delegated backlog maintenance schemes, contract specifications, and documentation management.


Key Requirements

  • Professionally qualified with membership of an appropriate professional body, holding a degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Building related subject.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an operational management post in healthcare or a related commercial environment.
  • Specialised certificated training for statutory duties, including HV and LV Electrical, Legionella, Sterilisers, Lifts, Mains Gas, and Ventilation Systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Statutory Standards and Health & Safety management.
  • Experience of contract management and auditing, as well as contract specification, procurement, and evaluation of tenders.
