Street Cleansing Operative

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our team as a Street Cleansing Operative. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our public spaces.
Key Responsibilities- Manual sweeping, litter picking, and cleansing of allocated routes within required timescales and to agreed standards.
- Ensuring designated routes are cleansed to the standard expected and all tasks and responsibilities are completed within the required timescales.
- Maintaining a good level of conduct when communicating with colleagues and the public.
- Working individually or as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
- Ensuring the job function is carried out safely and in line with Bristol Waste Company's health & Safety policy and procedures.
- Good communication skills to liaise with the public and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently, using initiative and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of equipment to ensure safe and proper use.
- Experience or ability to demonstrate suitability for physical work involving pushing/pulling waste bins and lifting waste sacks up to 10kg.
- Annual leave package of 25 days plus 8 bank holidays.
