Job Title: Contract Civil Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join Strata Construction Consulting as a Contract Civil Engineer. Our consultancy is based in Chester and has a strong presence across the UK, with a focus on delivering high-quality projects that meet the needs of our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team, who can work on multi-disciplinary projects and contribute to the delivery of concept studies and strategies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles, industry guidelines, and best practice, as well as experience in the use of Civil 3D design software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working within a team to produce designs and drawings for construction projects and deliver technical reports for master planning and to support planning applications.
  • Producing masterplans, site appraisals, writing reports to support planning applications, design calculations, and construction drawings.
  • Delivering highway design, highway drainage principles, surface water, and foul drainage designs.
  • Using Windes drainage software and PDS or Civils 3D modelling.
  • Preparing drawings for S38 and S278 Highway Agreements as well as S106 Drainage Agreements.
Requirements:
  • An experienced Civil Engineer with a Civil BSc or MSc Degree in relevant subjects.
  • Ability to work/lead on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Understanding of engineering principles with up-to-date knowledge of industry guidelines, legislation, and best practice.
  • A working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment process design.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with other disciplines and clients.
