Clinical Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Support Worker to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with our clinical teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to patients living with dementia and delirium, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times.
- Record routine observations of blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, and blood glucose as required, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to a registered nurse.
- Recognize and report patients in pain or discomfort to the nurse in charge.
- Provide reassurance and support to patients, carers, and family members.
- Ensure own actions contribute to maintaining quality care and promoting a positive working environment.
- Respond to patient requests for non-clinical information to improve communication and establish effective relationships.
- Under supervision, carry out assigned tasks as part of the clinical team in support of registered nurses, undertaking aspects of care provision under supervision.
- Evidence of a general education, such as GCSEs or equivalent.
- NVQ II in Healthcare or QCF Diploma in Health Level 2, or equivalent qualification in the area of speciality.
- Knowledge and experience of taking clinical observations.
- Knowledge of hospital systems.
- Some experience of working as a healthcare assistant in a hospital or registered care setting.
- Customer care experience.
