About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electronics Engineer to join our R&D team in Stockport. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronics hardware, working closely with stakeholders and other engineers to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse product functional requirements and expand into detailed product requirement architecture definitions.
  • Design and develop electronics hardware, including simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, and BOM generation.
  • Prototype functional testing and verification.
  • Enhance and support existing products.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and other engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers as required.
  • Mentor and lead less experienced engineers.
  • Comply with company ISO membership requirements.
  • Produce hardware technical documentation and document control of electronics drawings and BOMs.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven post-graduate industrial experience in a related area.
  • Good understanding of analogue, digital, and embedded electronics.
  • Proficiency in schematic entry and PCB layout.
  • Good hands-on electronics experience, including soldering skills and use of regular electronics lab equipment.
  • Good organisational and analytical skills.
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good team player with ability to work independently.
