Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AutoCAD Designer to join our team at Canadian Solar Inc. As a Senior AutoCAD Designer, you will be responsible for the pre-sales activities of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) including conceptual design and proposal preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze RFP or other customer documentation to determine project scope and technical requirements.
- Prepare conceptual design packages including single-line diagrams and layouts in AutoCAD for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects based on size models prepared by Applications Engineers.
- Develop cable schedules and cost estimates based on conceptual layouts.
- Work closely with sales staff, engineering and procurement to ensure complete and shared project understanding and priorities.
Requirements:
- Proficient in AutoCAD or related software.
- ~3+ years' experience in system design of PV or BESS projects.
- ~ Solid understanding of regulatory standards in the UK and Europe related to energy storage and grid-interactive inverters.
- ~ Global perspective and awareness, and direct experience working across diverse cultures in a multinational company would be beneficial.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
