About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Accounts Assistant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the Accounts email box, handling sales and purchase ledger tasks, processing nominal ledger journals, and monthly credit card expenses.

The ideal candidate will have a high level of numeracy, effective communication skills, and strong attention to detail. Previous accounting experience or a relevant accountancy qualification is essential. You will be self-motivated, conscientious, and have a methodical work ethic, with the ability to work to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Accounts email box and handle sales and purchase ledger tasks
  • Process nominal ledger journals and monthly credit card expenses
  • Assist with month-end reporting and collaborate with internal departments to answer queries
  • Apply an analytical approach to improve business processes
