The Role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Host to provide exceptional customer service to our guests. As a Restaurant Host, you will be the first point of contact for our members and clients, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities:
  • Warmly welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant, creating a positive first impression.
  • Manage the waiting area, ensuring guests are comfortable and informed about their wait times.
  • Confirm and update reservations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the booking process.
  • Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and ensuring a smooth transition between the waiting area and dining area.
  • Maintain a well-organized seating plan to optimize table turnover and accommodate guests efficiently.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management and staff to address any escalated customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to facilitate timely and accurate food and beverage service.
  • Provide support to colleagues when needed, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a hostess, greeter, or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including seating arrangements, reservation management, and guest flow, is desirable.
  • Familiarity with reservation management systems and point-of-sale (POS), OpenTable/Seven Rooms software is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
