Salary

Job Description

As a Medical Director at PGH, you will lead a team of psychiatric and medical professionals, overseeing facility-wide medical and geropsychiatric services. Your expertise will drive strategic planning, decision-making, and quality improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and improving medical and geropsychiatric services
  • Directly supervising psychiatric and medical professionals
  • Supporting on-call and holiday coverage as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A graduate degree from an approved medical school
  • Completion of a psychiatric residency program
  • Licensure to practice medicine in Virginia
  • Federal licensure to prescribe medications
  • Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
