About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operative to join our Airframes Team at QinetiQ Target Systems. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for constructing airframe and surface vessels, as well as assembling engines and sub-assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and assemble products to meet production targets.
  • Assemble engines and sub-assemblies from written instructions and drawings.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth production.
  • Maintain high standards of work and performance to meet Company Quality Assurance standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor.
  • Comply with Company Quality Procedures and meet weekly production targets.
  • Report quality data and maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of production methods.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • GCSE or equivalent level in maths and English.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good practical skills, including basic hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and computer skills.
  • Experience working on a production line.
