Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Gate and Barrier Engineer with an electro-mechanical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a service and maintenance role, with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintenance of automated security products, including sliding gates, hinged gate barriers, blockers, bollards, and control panels.
- Installation of new or replacement products, as required.
- Fault diagnosis and replacement of faulty components.
- Testing of systems to ensure they are set and operating correctly.
- Completion of site-related reports for repairs and maintenance.
- Proactive attitude and ownership of problems.
- Assistance with growing the business through proactive site visits and service offerings.
- Hydraulic and electro-mechanical experience is required, with a relevant qualification in mechanical, electrical, or electronics.
- Experience in a remote and site-based role.
- Strong technical background with the ability to fault find, diagnose, and carry out repairs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full clean license with less than 6 points.
- Flexible approach to work, with willingness to travel within a designated area and occasionally further afield.
- A basic salary of up to £40,000 per annum.
- Company van and mobile phone.
- Standard working time: 42.5 hours per week.
- Overtime (door-to-door).
- Pension.
- 28 days holiday, including bank holidays.
