English Teacher Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking an English Teacher to join a local secondary school in Christchurch for a permanent position. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in English literature and language, with a passion for teaching and inspiring students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards.
  2. Implement differentiated teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
  3. Utilise innovative and interactive teaching methods to make English literature and language studies relevant and captivating for students.
  4. Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  5. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for literature and language.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification in English.
  • PGCE/QTS/QTLS.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level is preferred.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school's curriculum.
