About the Role

Gleeson Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced In-House Construction Lawyer to join our client's team. As a leading provider of specialist engineering, asset management, and inspection services, our client is looking for a qualified solicitor with 3-5 years PQE to take the lead in supporting their construction arm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts for projects ranging from large frameworks to support capital investment
  • Drafting board papers for projects at pre-tender, tender, and post-tender stages
  • Reviewing and drafting collateral warranties, NDAs, parent company guarantees, retention, performance bonds, and framework agreements
  • Drafting and implementing policies and procedures to support bid teams, quantity surveyors, and commercial managers
  • Managing multiple complex legal matters simultaneously
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor with 3-6 years PQE
  • Experience in non-contentious and contentious construction matters
  • Familiar with standard form construction contracts: JCT, NEC, and FIDIC
  • Litigation experience an advantage
  • Acts with integrity and discretion
  • Proactive and pragmatic
  • Hands-on: gets involved with issues, support and challenge colleagues constructively
  • Able to communicate and work with people collaboratively at all levels
