Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic projects team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering projects from order receipt to successful installation and handover.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of contracts and manage project schedules using Gantt charts
  • Collaborate closely with clients and internal departments throughout the project life-cycle
  • Develop and agree on project scope with customers and sales team
  • Generate project documentation, including Scope of Supply, timing plans, P&IDs, BOMs, and layout drawings
  • Source and specify bought-out components and equipment
  • Oversee equipment delivery, installation, and customer acceptance testing
  • Handle project changes and ensure timely invoicing
  • Coordinate subcontractors and oversee installations on-site in the UK and abroad
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a process engineering environment, preferably in the Food Processing Industry
  • Demonstrated success in managing engineering projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with various stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic and proactive attitude with a problem-solving mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and MS Project
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD LT
  • Knowledge of steam systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipework, and basic electrical control systems
  • Valid UK driving licence
