Job Summary

As a Service Engineer, Field Service, you will play a crucial role in delivering efficient, safe, and sustainable integrated products and solutions to enhance our customers' businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently execute Field Service activities such as overhaul, repair, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with local work instructions and site safety rules.
  • Liaise with the On-Site Team Leader/Service Coordinator to provide progress status and ensure service deadlines are met.
  • Handle customer inquiries and technical queries on site.
  • Advise and promote available products and solutions to customers.
  • Submit accurate and high-quality service work reports within 48 hours.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Engineering and/or proven experience (3 years minimum) in a field for service works with installation of mechanical, electric, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Experience with Wärtsilä's products is beneficial.
  • Awareness and readiness to take up tasks for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of technical instructions, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
  • Readiness to travel and work in the UK, abroad, and offshore (up to 200 days/year).
  • Very good English skills – spoken and written.
