Youth Mentorship Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Youth Mentor to provide crucial support and guidance to students facing social and emotional challenges in Shifnal. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students on an individual or small group basis, providing emotional and behavioral support.
This is a rewarding role for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will implement targeted strategies to assist students in managing and regulating their emotions, foster positive relationships, and collaborate with teaching staff and parents to create a holistic support plan for each student.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Youth Mentor or in a similar role, understanding of SEMH challenges, strong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy and patience when working with students facing social and emotional difficulties, and relevant qualifications or certifications in youth work or a related field.
