Job Summary

Rydon is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our NHS repairs and maintenance team based in Sidcup. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a range of expert planned and responsive maintenance services to domestic properties and commercial buildings in the social housing, health and social care sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance work on plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plastering, and other building skills.
  • Work in a mobile role, maintaining a number of healthcare sites in a small patch in North Kent.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure high-quality repairs.
  • Participate in an on-call rota for emergency repairs and receive a standby allowance and overtime paid at time and a half or double time depending on day/time of call out.

Requirements

  • Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings, ideally within the NHS or for a maintenance contractor providing services to the NHS.
  • Ability to undertake a wide range of plumbing repairs and other general building skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a keen customer service approach.
  • A full UK driving license and a DBS check.
