Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Consulting Engineer will play a crucial role in our M&E Consultancy team, serving as a key point of contact for clients and leading the design of Electrical Systems. This position requires strong leadership skills, as the successful candidate will lead junior members of the Electrical Engineering Team and collaborate with project design teams to meet client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of Electrical Systems, including drafting drawings, undertaking calculations, and producing specifications.
  • Coordinate with project design teams to ensure client deliverables are met.
  • Lead junior members of the Electrical Engineering Team through the duration of projects.
  • Liaise with in-house Mechanical, CAD, and Secretarial staff to facilitate the production process and meet business needs.
  • Represent Electrical and Mechanical Design at Design Team Meetings.
  • Operate ACad and BIM Systems, with a focus on training in REVIT MEP.
  • Undertake defects inspections and issue certifications.
  • Write and produce operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Produce SBem and Sap Calculations.

Requirements:

  • Fully competent and experienced within the Building Services Design Industry.
  • Minimum HNC Building Services Engineering.
  • Positive, proactive, self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Word.
  • Travel required periodically; full driving license and access to a car required.
